The Club held its' second fun-day of the year on the above date. Considering the time of year the weather was quite good until about 4.00 pm when the heavens opened. However, by then most of the activities had taken place.
There were visitors from a number of clubs including: Heywood, Blackburn, Bury and St Helens. There were quite a few entrants for the steering and docking course with the eventual trophies going to members from three different clubs. (1st - Mike Hurst, 2nd - Ray Smalley, 3rd - Bill Wilson). The iceberg retrieval contest proved to be quite competitive with entrants stealing icebergs from one another whilst trying to return. Eventually both prizes for this competition went to Paul Heaton.
Hot food and drinks were available and the ladies in charge worked very hard keeping people fed and watered.
